2020 Vision
Happy New Year!
I am excited about this new year because 2019 showed OUT!!! My spiritual relationship with God grew to a WHOLE new level. I am not saying everything was AMAZING in 2019, but it was a season of JOY in my life.
I have never been a big fan of New Year’s resolutions, but in the last couple of years, I have participated in vision board parties with my friends. I find these gatherings to be a fun and engaging way to think about your future goals/dreams while sharing them with your CLOSEST friends. (because you need some prayer warriors that are going to pray and support your goals/dreams)
This year I convinced my boyfriend to do a joint vision board with me. (AND yes, it took SOME convincing…LOL) As a couple, we plan to continue setting future goals/dreams together, and hopefully, we can use the vision board as an additional tool. I hope this will push us to stay focused on our current goals and dreams we have together, with God at the center. Of course, there will be a few we may not accomplish this year or the next year, but it’s ok because life happens!
I strongly suggest you to consider doing a vision board with your spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, friends, and/or children. Don’t be afraid to set some goals/dreams that are out of the ordinary. If you don’t succeed or master a goal, just know that God will use your failure to make you stronger.
Romans 3:3-5 states, “3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
In the end, my boyfriend and I truly enjoyed discussing our plans as a couple. We were able to discuss our values, love life, travel plans, how we plan to give back to the community, and much more. Check out our vision board below!
“2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” ~Habakkuk 2:2-3 (KJV)
P. S. I also recommend doing your own vision board, so you can focus on your personal dreams/goals for the future.
